My family and I ate here three times (three nights in a row, actually) nearly two weeks ago since a few family members were staying at the Embassy Suites hotel. I really enjoyed my food each time. During the first visit, I had the Uncommon Club (chicken, roasted red pepper, chili lime garlic mayonnaise and avocado on foccacia bread). I think this was my favorite out of everything that I tried during the trips here. I had the shrimp quesadillas the next night; they were decent, though I think that I was expecting more. I like my quesadillas to be very cheesy and this one really wasn't. It definitely could've used more cheese, though I still ate all of it. The third time we had dinner here, I had a burger with Cheddar cheese, onion rings and BBQ sauce. It was good, though definitely not the best burger I've ever had. Still, all of it ended up being eaten. There were some mixed reviews as far as what the others I was with felt about their food. My aunt and uncle seemed to love this place and didn't have a single bad thing to say, whereas my mother didn't seem to think the steak she ordered on one visit was worth the price. I also remember her saying that it wasn't prepared correctly. Another of my uncles said that his steak here was just fine, so I'm not sure what happened with my mother's. You probably can get some good drinks here, too. One of my uncles is very much into martinis and ordered a few for he and I one night. I don't know much about those things, but mine was potent. We also had a Manhattan during another trip here, and that one was fantastic. The prices here seem to be a little steep but I seemed to think that the food and experience was worth it. There also is a cozy patio outside of the bar. It mostly was a little cool when we were here so much a few weeks ago, so the weather made sitting outside a little bit of an endeavor, but it probably is a nice spot to be at during the warmer months. I remember sitting out there in June/July 2009 and it was nice. I'm not sure if you really could sit outside and have a meal since the patio doesn't seem to have the tables that the restaurant's interior does, but you definitely can sit outside and relax and enjoy cocktails. Hope to be back sometime soon ... at least for another Manhattan.

There were four of us for dinner. We ordered one filet mignon Oscar, one ribeye, and two NY strips, two loaded baked potatoes, one loaded mashed potatoes, and one regular mashed potatoes. The filet was perfection. The others were tasteless and tough. All were cooked to the right temperature. The baked potatoes were very good, but the mashed potatoes were served barely warm. The restaurant is very loud, even though it's not a huge place. Service was good. Go to Ruth Chris instead - the cost is about the same, and Ruth Chris is much better.

Was offered this place as a quick lunch during a conference. I had the open faced prime rib sandwich and the meat was extremely overcooked (close to jerky) dumped into a slice of dry bread. I will not be going back and I suggest you save yourself from the trouble.

I stay at the hotel where this restaurant is located every week. About every other time that I stay, I eat at this restaurant. I always find the staff helpful and courteous. I usually order the burger (which I think is great). I have also ordered their soup. The bread that you get here is unlike any I have had elsewhere. All in all, I like this place both for its convenience and the quality of the food.

PROS: It is right at the hotel so you don't have to go anywhere. Varied steakhouse menu. CONS: Service was very slow. Over an hour both nights (they did however warned me both nights). Still, substandard for a Hilton Embassy. The food was just ok; overpriced hotel food. Agreed with the reviews here that the kitchen overcooks. I ordered Medium well and it was well-done dry. Both nights my dish was missing the coleslaw it's supposed to come with. I ordered a beer and one of the nights they didn't bring a bottle opener. They won't substitute the fries for a salad. I would no recommend anyone drives here for this restaurant. There's better steakhouses around. The sweet potato wedges are a good idea but some were undercooked.

I typically stay at the Embassy Suites were Omaha is located when I am in town on business. Ive eaten here 2 times both of them room service. The first time we had a steak salad and a chicken dish. The steak on the salad was over cooked and the salad did not come with dressing. The chicken dish was ok but hardly memorable. Last night I just had some homemade chips with blue cheese sauce and a molten lava cake. The chips were pretty good and would definatley get them again. The Lava Cake however was not molten and I dont think the outside was cooked all the way either. It came with some soft freezer burned ice cream. My advice is either go to the place and dont get room service or go somewhere else. There are plenty of places close to the hotel.

House made sweet potato wedges, inch and half thick Ahi tuna sandwich with cucumber, nori mayo, AND delicious sushi grade ginger?!?! All in my hotel. I know where I'll be eating all this week.

Pretty below mediocre. Service was pretty good but the steak was just "ok" and they had the worst steak knives I've ever seen. Pretty much nothing worth the $80 we paid for two people, with no drinks and no dessert.

Decided to take the wife there for lunch today as a surprise! We stood at the checkin desk for every bit of 6-7 minutes. Finally I saw a guy who appeared to be the manager. I asked do you guys not have a hostess? We have been standing here or a while! He replied we have a group of 70 so it'll be another 15-20 minutes! We politely refused and walked out. However what's upsetting is I called ahead and we were not greeted until I said something! I thought this was a classy upscale restaurant? I'll never go back...

Nice pub scene place...had dinner 'at the bar' with friend lately....bartender made up a steak salad not on menu....just grilled up a flank steak to add on top of a bowl of very good salad greens....and sent it back to the kitchen when it wasn't 'medium rare' enough...excellent wait staff; good food; decent if a little thin on the beer...but it is Florida after all...nice they are open later for us insomniacs...

This would be a great place to sit outside on the patio and have a drink if the bartender wasn't so nasty. On both recent visits we had the same gal (heavy set blonde) and she acted like she was doing us a favor by taking our order! When we asked if we could sit outside I swear she "huffed" like it was too much trouble to walk ten steps outside to wait on us. It's a cozy little bar with a great patio view of the lake. It's too bad the people that work there have an attitude and make you feel unwelcome :(

My family went to the Omaha Steakhouse to celebrate my graduation with a Master Degree. In my party 3 of 4 ordered the lunch special - Steak and Crap cake, they were brought Steak and shrimp. I inform the server of the mistake and she took the plate back. When she return with Steak and crab cakes, 2 of 3 had the wrong side. She took the plate again. On the third return, 1 of the 2 steaks was overcooked, so she took the plate back. Finally the last plate returned with the steak cooked correctly. My sister-in-law was so upset; she only ate 1/2 of the steak, and decided to feed to rest to her dog when she got home. Also, she complained that her sweet tea tasted like, sugar water. I paid the bull with looking at the items on the check and when I got home I found I was charged for the Steak and shrimp, insist of Steak and crab cake, Steak and shrimp is $12.95 and Steak and Crab cake is 9.99, so I was overcharged $9.00. The server offered to personally buy a desert for my sister-in-law, but she so upset she declined. This was the first time that we have ever eaten at an Omaha Steakhouse, it was such a bad experience that we will never return.

Okay, I'm reviewing the same place again but, believe it or not, it was better the second time around. We were in Altamonte Springs with visitors and staying at the hotel. It was late and we were all tired so went to Omaha Steakhouse for a late dinner. It was absolutely spot on. The waitstaff were very accomodating (we were being picky about where we wanted to sit) and the service was excellent. All of us ordered different appetizers and entrees and not a single complaint. The filet mignon's were like hot butter. One of the group has some digestive issues and they actually prepared him a simple dish off menu. The restaurant was busy as the hotel was booked to capacity but the experience was great. Because of rain, we dined there again on night three and it was a repeat performance. My only complaint is that the drinks from the bar are somewhat inconsistent from night to night. I had two perfect Cosmos and one that could have been pure cranberry juice. Nothing is perfect though so, try it!

To start with i had a 12 oz fillet mignon , that was cooked absolutely perfect. Unfortunately that was the only good thing i can say about this place. The restaurant is located in the embassy suites, very hard to find from the road. Now this is part of the dysfunction about this restaurant. The kitchen is located outside the restaurant and Threw the banquet hall of the hotel.. The waiters and runners probably have to go about a football field to get to the kitchen, although i don't think this can be used as an excuse since the restaurant was open since 2003. After our initial orders we were virtually ignored by our waiter. We did not receive any bread, the runner who brought our steaks out did not give us any steak knives. This drove me insane, i kept looking for my waiter to make eye contact with me , after him walking by two tables away for 5 mins and 3 passes i got really fed up and did something i cant believe i did. i clapped loudly in the restaurant to get his attention. There is no excuse for this pathetic service , the restaurant was slow. I would not recommend this place to anyone . There are too many top notch places in Orlando area to waste any money in this crappy excuse for a restaurant. I am a big fan of the Omaha mail order steaks and the retail shop in Burlington, mass. That is why i tried this place but the whole experience leaves a sour taste in my mouth.
